The only exception to all the above is that 1999 and earlier Softtails use a drain tube for their engines...no engine drain plug...and you must use a Black Hole™ 6 pack to protect the engine.
Optional Big Twin, Twin Cam, 2000 and above, dry sump plug, suggested by cyclesolutionsonline.com to capture metal in the dry sump before it gets to the scavenge pump! To be changed by an experienced mechanic! This plug has been very popular indeed, however it is not on Sportsters or V Rods, only the Twin Cam Engines.
